Why Jesus?

Is there more to life?Who is Jesus? Can I really know God?What if grace is real?Could this be your fresh start?

Maybe you are curious about faith. Maybe you have been asking bigger questions about life, purpose, forgiveness, hope, or God. Maybe something has stirred in your heart and you are wondering if Jesus is real, and if He has anything to do with your life.

We believe He does.

Christianity is not first about rules, religion, or trying to prove you are good enough for God. It is about relationship. It is about knowing the God who made you, loves you, and has made a way for you to come home through Jesus.

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” John 14:6

What is Christianity really about?

At the heart of the Christian faith is Jesus.

Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He came into the world, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sin, and rose again so we could be forgiven, made new, and brought into relationship with God.

That might sound like a lot to take in. That is okay. Faith often begins with a simple question, a quiet prayer, or a small step toward God.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you come to Jesus. You can come as you are.

Why do we need Jesus?

Most of us know what it feels like to have something missing. We can try to fill our lives with success, money, relationships, entertainment, comfort, work, or achievement, and still feel empty underneath it all.

The Bible tells us we were made for relationship with God. When we live apart from Him, something deep within us feels unsettled.

Jesus came to restore that relationship.

Through Jesus, we find forgiveness for the past, hope for the future, and grace for today. He does not just improve our lives from the outside. He makes us new from the inside.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is more than a good teacher or a religious figure. He claimed to be the Son of God. He forgave sins. He healed the sick. He welcomed the broken. He challenged the proud. He gave His life on the cross and rose again.

His life, death and resurrection are the foundation of the Christian faith.

The good news is that Jesus did not come for perfect people. He came for people who need grace. He came for the weary, the searching, the guilty, the ashamed, the proud, the broken, the lonely, the religious, the irreligious, and everyone in between.

He came for you.

Why did Jesus die?

Jesus died because of love.

The Bible teaches that sin separates us from God. Sin is not just a list of bad behaviours. It is the condition of the human heart that turns away from God and chooses its own way.

On the cross, Jesus took the weight of our sin upon Himself. He carried what we could not carry, paid what we could not pay, and made a way for us to be forgiven and free.

Because of Jesus, you can be forgiven.

Because of Jesus, shame does not get the final word.

Because of Jesus, death is not the end.

Because of Jesus, you can have new life with God.

What does Jesus offer?

ForgivenessFreedomNew lifeRelationshipPurpose

Jesus offers forgiveness. You do not need to pretend you have it all together. You can bring your whole life to Him, including the parts you regret.

Jesus offers freedom. He breaks the power of sin, shame, fear and spiritual death.

Jesus offers new life. Following Him is not just about believing something in your head. It is about becoming a new creation through Him.

Jesus offers relationship with God. You can know God as Father, walk with Him daily, hear His voice through Scripture, and be helped by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus offers purpose. Your life is not random. You were created by God, loved by God, and called to live for something bigger than yourself.

How do I begin a relationship with Jesus?

You can begin right where you are. You do not need perfect words. You simply turn toward Jesus with faith.

A simple way to pray is this:

Lord Jesus, I need You.
I am sorry for the ways I have turned from You and lived my own way.
Thank You for dying on the cross for me and rising again.
Please forgive me, make me new, and come into my life by Your Holy Spirit.
I choose to follow You.
Amen.

If you prayed that prayer, or even if you are not sure but want to talk to someone, we would love to hear from you.
