J-Crew

The purpose of J Crew is to release the practical resource within our church to be a blessing wherever we can.We assist single parents, widows, the elderly and those who may be going through a challenging season by helping with practical jobs around the home. From time to time we also get involved in projects that bring support to local community organisations.

CAP Money

CAP Money is a free money management course that makes managing your money simple. CAP Money teaches people from all walks of life how to create a budget and prevent bad debt.

EAPA Vouchers

The Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Scheme helps people experiencing a short term financial crisis or emergency to pay their electricity or natural gas bill and stay connected to essential services.

Sleeping Bags, Soup and Socks Appeal

Each winter our church family donates sleeping bags, non-perishable food items and socks which are forwarded on to local organisations across the Coast who distribute these items to those who are in need.

Coast Shelter Team

We support the work of Coast Shelter, a local charity that provides accommodation and support programs for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our team are involved in the preparation and serving of meals, and running of our Breakthrough Service.

Sisters #10/10

Serving others is an essential part of who we are as Sisters. These are some of our Sisters “Send Me’” expressions:

  1. Hammond Care
    Visiting elderly and socially isolated people in their homes and in residential facilities.
  2. Hospitals
    Volunteering to serve and support the work of our local hospitals.
  3. 1000 Meals Project
    Supporting families of people in our community who are undergoing treatment for cancer. As a church we have a team of people who cook and deliver meals to families who may not have a support network around them. Click here to find out more.
  4. Look Good Feel Better
    Assisting to host LGFB workshops that help women to manage the appearance related effects of chemotherapy.
  5. Young Parents
    Assisting Catholic Care to host and bake for high teas that provide an opportunity for young parents to build a network of support and preparing gift hampers for expectant mums that include practical items needed to care for a newborn
    Running the Young Mums and Bubs Playgroup in Woy Woy
    Supporting the St Phillips/Dale School Young Parents Program
  6. Little Sisters/Mirror Mirror
    Empowering girls to discover and become secure in their identity. Our vision is to resource Year Nine girls in our region with the Mirror Mirror Book and to tailor programs to meet the need of local high schools.
  7. Day For Girls
    Assisting girls across the world to stay in school by producing reusable sanitation packs. The packs mean that girls can stay in school when they get their period and stay hygienic as well.
  8. Playgroups
    Leading and hosting Sisters Playgroups on a Wednesday in Gosford and Charmhaven.
  9. DV
    Serving women who have experienced Domestic Violence, for example by donating toiletry and clothing items and using these to prepare emergency packs for local hospitals and refuges.
  10. Fostering
    Becoming a foster carer for a child in need of placement.

Hope Global

HOPE: Global is a faith-based, not for profit organisation that operates to restore hope and justice to countries devastated by war, genocide and poverty. Our aim is to unite individuals, churches, governments, NGOs, education, trade, healthcare and business professionals to offer practical solutions that strengthen and help develop existing indigenous organisations.
