The purpose of J Crew is to release the practical resource within our church to be a blessing wherever we can. We assist single parents, widows, the elderly and those who may be going through a challenging season by helping with practical jobs around the home. From time to time we also get involved in projects that bring support to local community organisations.
The Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Scheme helps people experiencing a short term financial crisis or emergency to pay their electricity or natural gas bill and stay connected to essential services.
Sleeping Bags, Soup and Socks Appeal
Each winter our church family donates sleeping bags, non-perishable food items and socks which are forwarded on to local organisations across the Coast who distribute these items to those who are in need.
Night of Hope
Our fundraising event focusing on supporting those who are facing the cancer journey. All proceeds were donated to CoastCanCare and 1000Meals Project.
Serving others is an essential part of who we are as Sisters. These are some of our Sisters “Send Me’” expressions:
Assisting Catholic Care to host and bake for high teas that provide an opportunity for young parents to build a network of support and preparing gift hampers for expectant mums that include practical items needed to care for a newborn. Supporting the St Phillips/Dale School Young Parents Program.
If you would like to come on the journey with us and be involved in any of our Sisters 10/10 teams, or receive our regular Sisters communication, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
