Give Up Negative Thinking by Choosing to live inside of God\u2019s Hope.<\/h1>\n
Romans 15:13 NLT<\/strong>
\n“I pray that God, the source of Hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace
\nbecause you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”<\/em>Devotion<\/strong>
\nI love that the apostle Paul in his letter to the Christians in Rome calls God a ‘God
\nof hope.’ Unfortunately, the Roman Christians were living in times when \u201cHope\u201d seemed more like a wishful thought than a present-day reality for them.<\/p>\n

They were being persecuted and harassed for their faith and many had begun
\nto become discouraged by their circumstances.<\/p>\n

Sometimes we can find ourselves in difficult seasons, maybe a prolonged
\nillness, a strained relationship or a complicated issue at work that has begun
\nto get the better of us. And now our thinking has turned a little negative.<\/p>\n

We start to get feelings of hopelessness and become a little desperate.
\nI\u2019m sure you have been there at some point, I have, it’s part of the human
\nexperience.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s at these times that the Word reminds us of who God is and how we are
\ninvited to experience Him working in our lives. God doesn\u2019t just tell us to tough it out, He invites us to know and embrace Him as the God of Hope.<\/p>\n

How do we do that? By bringing our thoughts into alignment with who He is, and what He is in the midst of our small challenging circumstances.<\/p>\n

He is the God of Hope when we allow our thinking to be captured and
\noverwhelmed by this powerful truth, and then place our trust in His work.<\/p>\n

I pray over you that Joy and Peace would become your potion Today.<\/p>\n

Reflection<\/strong>
\nAs you receive communion each day this week, lets believe together that God
\nwill continue to empower you to abound in hope by the power of the Holy
\nSpirit.<\/p>\n

Practice<\/strong>
\nEach day this week think of someone that you can reach out to, so that in
\nsome way, you can be the source of Hope towards them – The Holy Spirit
