Give Up Busyness by Letting God Refresh You<\/h1>\n
Matthew 11:28-30 NLT<\/strong>
\n“Then Jesus said, \u201cCome to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy
\nburdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
\nFor my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”<\/em>Devotional<\/strong>
\nIt is the easiest thing for most people to fill up a week with stuff to do.The busyness of life has a way of creeping up on us and overtaking us,
\ncausing us to run out of hours in the day to get everything we have planned
\ndone. The side effect of this ‘busy culture’ is that it has a way of making
\nus tired on the inside.<\/p>\n

You know the type of tiredness I\u2019m talking about? Where even a good sleep
\ncan\u2019t refresh you. Jesus could see this in the eyes and hearts of the people around Him, so much so that He offered them and us today a great gift. His way, which is much easier than our way.<\/p>\n

Rather than letting the pace of this society or culture dictate our pace of
\nliving, Jesus invites us to learn His ways, and embrace His pace.<\/p>\n

He said it wouldn\u2019t feel heavy like the frenetic pace of our man made world.
\nRather, that we could find rest and rhythm that would be easy to carry.<\/p>\n

I encourage you to join me in learning, then practicing, by engaging
\nyour schedule this week in God\u2019s pace. Allow space for the Holy Spirit to speak and teach you.<\/p>\n

Reflection<\/strong>
\nAs you receive communion each day this week, let’s be open to learn God\u2019s
\nways towards supernatural refreshing for our hearts.

\nAs you feel yourself getting, over busy or strained, take a moment and ask for
\nGod to help, to keep learning from Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
