We pray that we will always reflect through every part of our lives, that HOPE is a person, and His name is Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HopeUC is a church where everyone\u2019s welcome. There is a place for you here. When we come together, we are a diverse, beautiful expression of God\u2019s church, gathering around His love, His presence, His word, and His purpose for our lives. Together, we are on a great faith adventure.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;fadeInUp&#8221;]\n<h2>OUR VALUES<\/h2>\n<h3>The Word is our Foundation<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Timothy 3:16<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Worship is our Honour<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psalm 29:2<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Honor the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Active participation and patterns of worship, explain and express our faithfulness.<\/p>\n<h3>Prayer is our Priority<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 Thessalonians 5:17-18<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God\u2019s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We pray first. The power of prayer deepens our dependence on Him and sharpens our faith. When we pray, we place everything in God\u2019s hands, trusting His guidance in every aspect of our lives.<\/p>\n<h3>Community is our Heartbeat<\/h3>\n<p>Reach In: Community of Faith<br \/>\nReach Out: Mission to people outside of us.<br \/>\nReach Down: Generational empowerment is our legacy.<br \/>\nReach Up: Follow a Leader.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luke 4:18-19<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, healing for the broken-hearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, \u2018You are set free!\u2019 I have come to share <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the message of Jubilee,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the time of God\u2019s great acceptance has begun.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>His Presence is our Passion<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ephesians 1:23<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ\u2019s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Alignment with God\u2019s authority and structures allows His power and gifts to flow.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]\n<h2><div class=\"vcex-module vcex-divider vcex-divider-solid vcex-divider-center wpex-mx-auto wpex-max-w-100 wpex-block wpex-h-0 wpex-border-b wpex-border-solid wpex-border-main\" style=\"width:100%;margin-block:20px;border-bottom-width:1px;border-color:#dddddd;\"><\/div><\/h2>\n<h2><b>WHAT WE BELIEVE<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acc.org.au\/about\">Adapted from ACC.org.au website<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that the Bible is God\u2019s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that in order to receive forgiveness and the \u2018new birth\u2019 we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.\u00a0The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, which is an initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, to fulfil our role in the Church and to serve the community in which we live.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively. We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p><b>WE BELIEVE<\/b>\u00a0that human\u00a0beings are created male or female in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27) with a need for companionship and intimacy, reflecting the relational nature of God. Australian Christian Churches (ACC) defines marriage as being the union between a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others voluntarily entered into for life.
